🎯 How Our Pickleball Leagues Work
Flexible formats. Competitive structure. Real community.
We designed our leagues to combine the best parts of organized sport—clear divisions, meaningful games, something to play for—with the freedom to play on your own schedule, using public courts, in your own community.
Whether you’re in Gibsons, Squamish, Whistler, or Vancouver, the system works the same. Here’s how:
📦 Box Leagues (Monthly Divisions)
The foundation of our club is the box league format—a rotating, monthly round-robin system.
How it works:
Players are placed into boxes (aka divisions) of 4–6 people, grouped by level.
You receive your box schedule at the start of the month.
You contact your fellow box players and schedule the matches yourselves—at a time and public court that suits you both.
You report your scores via a simple online form.
🗓️ You have 1 month to complete your matches.
What happens at the end of the month?
🥇 The top finisher in each box moves up a division.
🧭 The bottom finisher moves down.
↔ Everyone else stays put and gets a new mix of competitors next round.
New players are added into the right level through a brief placement process.
👉 This structure keeps games meaningful, skill levels balanced, and your progress visible.
🧗 Ladder Challenges
Want to play even more? Challenge your way up the rankings between box rounds.
The Ladder Format:
Each player appears on a regional or format-specific ladder (e.g. Full Court Singles Ladder).
You can challenge anyone above you, up to a certain range.
If you win, you jump ahead of them.
If you lose, you stay where you are.
It’s flexible, low-pressure, and great for those who want extra matches or have variable availability.
✅ Use ladder play to climb faster. Or just use it for fun, off-cycle matches. Your call.
🕹️ Format Options
When you register, you’ll choose which formats you’d like to compete in:
🟩 Full Court Singles
🟦 Skinny Singles
🟧 Walking Singles
Each league format operates independently. You can play in one, two, or all three—just be mindful of your own schedule and energy.
🏆 Monthly Prizes
Top finishers in each box round will receive useful, locally sourced prizes—like gift cards to your town’s sport shop, coffeehouse, or book store. We don’t do trophies for your shelf—we do perks you’ll actually use.
Your wins support local businesses. And local businesses support your play.
